A Few Things to Keep in Mind:
Please remember I am not coming to your home to judge you, only to help you!
- The best time to prepare your home is before you place it on the market.
- You must view your home objectively!
- Keep in mind a consultation will be much less than a price reduction!
- The first two weeks on the market generally generate the most traffic (including the realtors caravan).
- Bad impressions are hard to overcome.
- If your home has already been on the market – even for a long time, appropriate changes can still work! I have seen it done.
- We can help you prepare your home whether it is going to be listed with a realtor or you are selling it yourself.
- Do you spend 100 to 200 on detailing a car before you sell it? Isn’t your single largest financial investment worth at least that much to prepare it to help you make your goals both of selling your home as quickly as you can and for as much as you can?
- Preparing your home to show at it’s best potential not only helps attract buyers, but can help show the home has been well cared for. This is a much sought after value from a prospective homebuyer.

A Note About Selling "As Is"
If you think you want to sell “as is,” keep in mind the buyer will usually reduce the offer price by approximately twice the dollar amount that it would cost you to make the repairs beforehand. If you show the home while it has obvious problems, buyers will pick it apart and leave them looking for more. The feel of the home will not be “welcome home” but instead “fixer upper”. That will not get you top dollar!
Other important information
Statistically and realistically, staging does indeed improve your chances to increase the sale price and typically lessens the time on the market – however, please remember no staging job is a guarantee of a sale or sale price for your home.
There is currently NO registered Trademark on the word "staging" in reference to the preparation of homes for sale. The Trademark was abandoned in 2003.
